| My name is Lauren Michelle Colwell. I live in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I was a level 10 gymnast and trained at Tulsa World of Gymnastics. I started gymnastics at the age of 8 at Tulsa World of Gymnastics. I have competed in levels 4,6,8,9,and 10.
My first year level 10, I got 2nd at State, 3rd at Regionals, and 8th at JO Nationals At JO Nationals I qualified for beam event finals and was a member of the Region 3 Team that won the JO Nationals. At the 1997 All-State Awards Banquet, I was honored to receive the Shannon Miller Award. This award goes to the gymnast that has most brought special recognition to the sport of gymnastics in Oklahoma and USA Gymnastics for the competitive year 1996-97. I live at home with my mom, dad, 2 sisters, ( one of which is also a level 10 gymnast,) a dog, and a bird. In my spare time I like to ride bikes, go shopping, hang-out with friends, and play on the computer. I would like to thank all the people that have helped and supported me throughout my gymnastics training. I now play soccer for Oklahoma State University.
